Can you hypnotize yourself and if you could, how would you snap yourself out of it. I want more self esteem and confidence and I thought I could hypnotize myself to get rid of any fears. Looking forward to any suggestions, thank you. Jen.
Hi Jen,
Write down all of your fears on paper. See which ones are real and which ones are not. This will help dispel many of the illusionary fears.
Next look at each fear and decide what you want to have in its place. If you are worried about people laughing at you, what would you prefer their response to be?
Then you can write an affirmation or positive statement out that strengthens your desired response. Just focus on one thing for 7-14 days and keep saying your affirmation and keep focusing in every situation on you being the way you want to be.
Spend 10-20 minutes a day relaxing and visualising yourself being the way you want to be and really feeling yourself performing this new behaviour and feeling fantastic because of this.
After 7-14 days you will notice changes in the way you are and then when you are happy that the new behaviour is unconscious, i.e. a part of you, move on to the next fear and deal with that.
That will help you to permanently get rid of your fears and be more confident in yourself.

I do not know much about self-hypnosis, but I guess you can just read a book about it. If you can’t find anything on self hypnosis to boost your self esteem try som sayings you do over and over and over again in ur head. like write on ur calander a little saying like, "I am a confident woman because I…" and fill in the blanks.
I know this doesn’t answer you question but I hope it atleast helps with something =)
