Certainly not.

Real hypnosis is nothing like the play acting of stage hypnotism.

The purpose of hypnosis is to get the subject into a relaxed state where the subject can think freely without normal inhibitions. The subject will not be prone to undesirable suggestions in this state and will confidently reject anything inappropriate. People are concious during hypnoisis, they are not in a sleep state.

erm, i don’t think its possible, you see hypnotism is down to an individuals susceptibility to suggestion. people under hypnosis aren’t under any kind of spell or ‘control’, they are just open to suggest ability. i heard that if you tried to make someone under hypnosis kill themselves, or hurt someone, they wouldn’t be capable of doing so as they don’t want to do it in the first place. however, you could trick someone into it whilst they were hypnotised, by perhaps telling someone to drink from a poison bottle of wine, or similar scenario. as long as they didn’t know exactly what was happening, this is possible but its not a good way to murder someone.

if that’s what your looking to do, then you need only remember two things: if they find the body, they WILL find the murderer (nowadays at least), and always have an alibi!

Apparently hypnosis can’t make you do something you don’t want to.

But i guess if someone was depressed and wanted to commit suicide, then they might be able to under hypnosis.

I think when people are under hypnosis, they need a cue word, or noise to awaken them. I’m not sure if the suggestion of committing suicide would work.

There has been a case of a person being charged with murder claimed to be under hypnosis and was acquitted. The hypnotist then got charged.

Seriously, no. It’s a load of crap, mostly. Might be able to get a killer to do it, but not a Rebecca of Flat-On-Her-Fat-Butt farm type just because she needed rent money and you offered her the cash equivalent of some Korean Manolo Pukenik shoes or something.
