How long would those anchor words continue to provide the effect?

did you have to remove them after? or do they just fade away?

Any help on info on this would be great.

I see what you mean by metaphore, or perhaps even code. I think where I get puzzled, is in terminology, “deep” for example, what’s deep? If we go any deeper, we will be on the other side of me and in China. LOL I’m observant about language, and often end up confusing myslef more.. My interests were always in self improvements of some type, stop smoking,improve something, etc. Thanks , for your comments above on ethics, as theatrical stunts, and domination is a turn off.

Conversational hypnosis appears to be general conversation, but there is far more going on. For example, none of what I say is nonsense. On the contrary, most of it is metaphorical. Notice that my client enters the state of hypnosis long before I say the word “sleep.” This is because he is subconsciously reacting to the metaphorical language about entering the state of hypnosis.

Ive have done it. THank you very much. I have finally hyypnotised someone enough to plant post hypnotic suggestions. I bought the book you suggested and it was a great help. I think I had a few negative beliefs about hypnosis I had to over ride before I could do it but self hypnosis does wonders. thanks you for all your help. and keep up the good work. cheers

If everyone you hypnotize won’t let you do it again, then you’re probably doing something consitently (without knowing it) that is either:(1) severely breaking rapport with your volunteers or (2) compounding/establishing fears.

In order to properly coach you, I would have to observe you in action. I recommend video taping yourself and studying yourself, or post a private video and have me review it. Record the entire session (everything you say to the volunteer–from o onward).

ahhhh finally decent information, that scale really helped, the only problem i have is finding people to practice with =/, and even if i do, after we finish, they won’t let me try again with them, any ideas, the only suggestion i use to test if they r faking or not by saying their arm goes numb with a certain motion and unnumb with another kind of motion.

Although it is archaic, the Davis-Husband Scale is a good tool for systematically learning to identify adequate depth of hypnosis before proceeding to more fun (stage-style) suggestions. This will help you learn when to deepen the hypnotic state to get to the results you need.

Learn ethical hypnosis; stay away from suggestions that might conflict the volunteer’s moral values; stay away from therapeutic suggestions (unless you are certified to legally practice hypnotherapy). (Continued below)

Traditional, long, stage-style inductions can be used at any time, but they are not efficient when used one-on-one unless you are just learning inductions. In simplified terms: A traditional stage induction (usually progressive relaxation) is meant to help a large percentage of the population enter into hypnosis.
