There are free programs for quitting smoking (http://www.quitsmokingonline.com/), but I don’t know of any that involve hypnosis. You can shop around with hypnotherapists; some may be expensive, some not. My ex was a hypnotherapist and pretty reasonable, and I think for smoking he used to use maybe five or six sessions. A lot depends on you, how well you go under, how well you retain the post-hypnotic suggestions.

What’s the science behind it? I’ve just read legit studies on it, and it’s documented, so don’t say it’s impossible. I’m not the kind of person who thinks hypnosis can solve all problems, but this is fascinating really.

The power of suggestion is pretty cool. I had warty hands as a child, and the dr said he would rub them off, and began rubbing my hands for about 30-45 minutes. When he was done they were not calloused, and within a day or two they were gone.

Do hypnotic spirals really hypnotize people if you stare at them?

I mean the hypnotic spiral with no voice or sound or anything, just staring at it.
Could that get you into a hypnotic state of mind?
And could you possibly give me a link for a video like that? I don’t care if there is sound or a voice ( which a voice would actually be better). Thanks (^_^)

There are several ways to induce a hypnotic trance. Some of the more popular ones include the hypnosis spiral, the use of an object that glitters such as a piece of jewelry or a gold watch, and progressive relaxation.
A hypnosis spiral can also be used to test a person’s ability to be hypnotized. Have your would-be subject watch the spiral for thirty seconds. After that, have your subject look at the palm of his or her hand. If the subject sees no abnormalities in the spiral or the hand, he or she will probably be quite difficult to hypnotize. On the other hand, the subject who sees the spiral start to change colors and sees an increase in size in his or her hand is probably quite suggestible and easy to hypnotize.

How do you make a hypnotic spiral?

By hypnotic spiral, I mean the things that are black and white and spin around. I would like to know how to make one and put words in it to customize it. And how to do it on a mac. Not a PC. I only have a Mac.

Does Hypnosis work in regards to losing weight/controlling eating?

I am talking in regards to losing weight and controlling eating. Binge eating etc. I know you can get hypnotised and by hypnosis recordings off the internet. Has anyone every tried these methods?? Do they work?? Cheers!

A close friend did hypnosis to lose 40 lbs, she lost all and more. She now has another child and still kept the weight off.
