The Mythology of Self Hypnosis
Many people have very damaging, destructive beliefs about self hypnosis. They believe that self hypnosis is dangerous or can be misused or abused by others. Many hold beliefs such as: Only messed-up people use self hypnosis! The people who need self hypnosis are emotionally insecure! Self hypnosis users have a lot of issues! These beliefs can stop you from using the power of self hypnosis to change your life, your destiny and your fortunes. What’s more, they are all totally untrue!
The vast majority of people who use self hypnosis are not dysfunctional crazies but in fact normal well-adjusted individuals who have been trying to secure change in their lives but have been unable to affect this change through conventional means. The many hundreds of self hypnosis applications and its very high success rate mean that this form of therapy, or mind programming, has become more popular over the years than any other self improvement tool.
Every one of us has some issue, or issues, in our lives that we would like to improve. Unfortunately historical ways of dealing with such things seldom produce satisfactory results. Even those that do produce positive long-term results take months, if not years, to implement. A good example of this is psychotherapy which is expensive, time-consuming, and often, fails to produce the measurable results desired.
AQs well as having a very high success rate there is an additional reason for utilizing the power of self hypnosis. As a tool for internal and external change it is by far the fastest method available today.
Self hypnosis can secure change rapidly because it gives you the ability to communicate directly with the subconscious mind and influence change at this very deep level of behaviourism.
By far the most common application of self hypnosis, as a self improvement tool, is to secure changes in behaviour. For example a great many self hypnosis practitioners begin their hypnotic journeys wanting to eliminate negative behaviours such as smoking or over-eating!
Even though there are many more applications of self hypnosis, behaviour modification is the most popular to date. Only after initial success do self hypnosis users start to venture into the truly remarkable and wonders uses of this powerful mind tool.
Although eliminating unwanted behaviours seems to be the primary use of self hypnosis today it should be noted that as a goal-achievement tool it is priceless. When self hypnosis has been used as part of a goal-setting/goal-achievement plan its success rate has been amazing. By using sophisticated sound technologies, within a carefully guided session, it is possible to coerce the brain into a certain state that produces specific mind/body altering brainwaves which give direct access to the subconscious mind. The most common brainwave state entered into during a self hypnosis session is the Alpha state. While emmersed in this mental state you become very open to suggestion and it is therefore very easy to influence the subconscious mind.
As the subconscious mind is responsible for our memories and automatic behaviours and feelings we can ensure that our automatic responses are the way we want them to be merely by programming the subconscious mind.
For instance, if you are a procrastinator when it comes to house-work or study then it is merely a matter of using the hypnotic state to access the subconscious mind. Once a connection to this deeper level of mind has been made, you can use clever self hypnosis techniques to program in automatic behaviour that ensures you never procrastinate with these jobs again. It is, in fact, possible to even program yourself into enjoying the tasks!
Likewise, you can also program into your subconscious mind, using the latest break-through techniques in self hypnosis, automatic behaviours, thoughts and feelings that help you to achieve your goals rather than those you may currently have that hinder your progress. Much research into the thoughts, emotional make-up and automatic behaviours of highly successful people have led to self hypnosis programs being made that incorporate the programming of these behaviours into the self hypnosis recording.
This has led to the creation of self hypnosis sessions that can be used to program your mind with the sae thought processes, emotional responses and behaviours of millionaires, top achievers and Olypic athletes. In fact, self hypnosis can be, and has been, used to program the mind for success in every area imaginable. So don’t you think it’s time you stop believing in myths and gave it a try?

Are You Getting Sleepy? - Self Hypnosis as a Health Aid
With a large, and growing, number of medical experts asserting that over 90% of all illness stems from the mind it should not be too surprising to find that mental solutions and psychological treatments for physical disorders are becoming more mainstream. Self hypnosis is a perfect example.
One of the most popular and successful psychological methods for the treatment of physical illness is hypnosis. How the hypnotic process actually works is, surprisingly, still a mystery to modern science. However, its effects are well documented.
Although many people consider hypnosis to be some form of mind control that is influenced upon you by another person this could not be further from the truth. Because we give the hypnotist permission to guide us into trance all hypnosis is actually self hypnosis. You do not surrender your will to a hypnotist nor would you follow his every instruction blindly.
When you are hypnotized you are still in full control. However, as you have agreed to surrender a certain amount of control to the hypnotist you feel that you want to please him and are much more likely to accept his suggestions and believe everything he says.
So, how can this self hypnosis state be used to promote better states of physical well-being and even eliminate some illnesses?
Well, research has shown that our thoughts have a dramatic effect on our health and general well-being. Our thoughts themselves are merely reflections of the bleifs we hold and these beliefs are themselves slaves to our emotions. Our emotions, in turn, are greatly influenced by our past experiences and how we view them in the present. Being able to alter all of these is one of the most powerful benefits of using self hypnosis.
Through self hypnosis it is possible to alter how we view our past experiences and remove or change the emotional charges we hold against them. Similarly we can also create visions of our future, with self hypnosis, and infuse these visualizations with positive, affirming emotions. These self hypnosis imaginings are then used as a guide by the mind to help us stay motivated and also physically create the internal pictures in our lives.
As a health-aid it is therefore the role of self hypnosis to alter our internal belief systems to correspond to thinking process that promote health and general good well-being. To achieve this our emotions to certain beliefs must also be changed. This has proven to be difficult, time-consuming and slow with conventional psychological methods - not so with self hypnosis though!
Through carefully worded post-hypnotic suggestions and self hypnosis guided imagery techniques it is possible to enter a state of self hypnosis and completely change your beliefs, emotional responses and thought processes about any given subject within an extremely short period of time. In fact, it can take as little as one session to accomplish this and no more than a few sessions a week over a period of one month.
As far as health goes self hypnosis can create dramatic changes in the body. As the human brain is the center, or controller, of the complex nervous system of the body it has the ability to send and receive signals from all parts of the body. The brain’s ability to be in contact with the whole body and send instructions means that it has the ability to instruct cells and nerves to begin repair or reconstruction of any damaged system. As you can have direct access to the brain you can literally program it with your own instructions!
With self hypnosis you can gain access to the part of the mind known as the subconscious and program in instructions that have a dramatic effect on how the brain interacts with the nerves and cells of your body. Through the use of self hypnosis techniques you can actually change the blueprint your mind holds of your body to reflect health, strength and wellness. When the brain then accesses the subconscious mind to send instructions to your nerves and cells it reads this newly programmed blueprint imprinted on it through self hypnosis and immediately instructs the rest of the body to follow it - much like a computer system.
Therefore if your health is an issue that you would like to deal with my advice is simple. Learn some self hypnosis techniques or get some high quality self hypnosis products from reputable sources and begin to change your life and heal your body!

Whar are some good web sites on self hypnosis?
I’ve tried everything to quit smoking. Can self-hypnosis help? I need good info to persue this avenue.
I have personally experienced much success with hypnosis. I quit smoking after 3 hypnotherapy sessions nearly 7 years ago, after having smoked for more than 30 years. I remain smoke-free and it’s no problem. It all was fairly easy. I have since become a professional, Certified Hypnotherapist, and on my website you can read a number of testimonials from people who have also had positive results from hypnosis sessions. I always teach my clients to do self-hypnosis, so they can help to support their own work. Hypnosis is not magic, and it’s not mind control — you will do what is appropriate for you — but hypnosis makes that so much easier.

is it possible to put yourself under self hypnosis by recording what you want and just fall asleep?
I am a martial artist but i want better training habits is it possible to put myself under a self hypnosis just by recording what i want and just listening to it as i fall asleep or not and if possible could i have some info on how to hypnotize myself thanks.
Hypnosis is a different state of mind from sleep. When hypnotized you are still aware of what is going on. See the link for a free self hypnosis course sent by email. He won’t spam you or pass your address on.
When thinking about your training habits think about what you want to do, not about what you want to avoid.
If you have some good experiences of when you were in "the zone" while doing your sport, you might like to review them while in self hypnosis. You can also set up a trigger so you can more easily get back into the zone when awake. If you want more details send me an email once you’ve got some experience with self hypnosis.
Can self hypnosis make u forget about a past event that you don’t like?
Can using self hypnosis help you forget about a bad event, such as losing a game or being assaulted? How do you do this? Only serious answers please. otherwise, don’t say anything.
hypnosis… when I want to hypnotise myself, I play games. They totally suck you in. It makes your brain focus so much on it that you forget everything else. Game consoles and everything. But make sure it’s a good game. I suggest Playstation 2 game console and buy Kingdom Hearts. Those sad games. They’re great!
Psychology: have you ever learned self hypnosis to a lesser or greater degree?
If so, then please tell me what you accomplished through self hypnosis? Did you reverse your age, change your appearance to some extent? Increase you intelligence and memory? I’ve actually heard stories from others about how learning self hypnosis has improved their lives, but I think that depends on what a person does with it.
My dad was a career policeman, with interest in hypnosis, mainly to help in eyewitness details. practised on us kids and taught us self-hypnosis for tests. mainly for relaxation and focus.on my s.a.t. i scored 1430(out of 1600)-a national merit scholar.
