I’ve been watching hypnosis videos in youtube.com and learnt that these type of videos are getting more videos than any other video, so I kinda thinking of making my self-hypnosis video and then upload it in Youtube.com.

How can I make self-hypnosis videos?
Have you ever experimented around with Self-Hypnosis, and if yes, then what sort of things have you achieved?
What sort of things have you achieved by learning self hypnhypnosis? Did you learn to heal yourself, reverse your age ( as mentioned Dr. Bruce Goldberg ), lucid dream, or anything? Please tell me!
Once after 6 months non-stop I managed to get some psychosis
Never again, leave it up to the experts from then on.

In Your Opinion, What is the Difference Between Prayer, Meditation, & Self-Hypnosis?
I’d like to know your opinion of the difference between these 3 activities. Please don’t offer dictionary definitions, but rather your own thoughts, experiences, and/or opinions. Thanks!

Prayer: Asking a higher power to ‘fix’ you.
Self-hypnosis: Manipulating yourself into ‘fixing’ you.
Meditation: Clearing your mind of the conditions that cause the problems you need to have ‘fixed’.
Quit Smoking Hypnosis Delivers Long Term Results
Quit smoking hypnosis programs address behaviors that quit smoking drugs don’t. Drugs might help you get through the physical nicotine withdrawal symptoms more easily than quitting cold turkey. But if you really want to quit smoking, hypnosis programs do a better job long-term
One of the reasons for the low success rate of non-smoking drugs long-term, is that they don’t address your “smoking rituals”. If you’ve ever tried these stop smoking drugs yourself, you’ll know what I’m talking about
Sure, you slap a patch on your arm or your hip, and it takes the edge off of the nicotine cravings. but you still have the feeling that you should be smoking when you’re sitting in that favorite chair and where you see that cut crystal ashtray sitting on the table, or when you finish a meal.
And you actually feel physically uncomfortable when you don’t perform the smoking rituals that you become used to. When you reach into your pocket and you don’t pull out a pack of smokes, or when you reach into your purse, and you don’t pull out that fancy lighter, it feels like there’s something missing. You just feel uneasy.
Now, if you’re a long time smoker, what you do to make yourself feel better whenever you feel anxious or uneasy? Right. You have a smoke…or two or three…and you calm down and feel much better.
But if you’re trying to quit, now you’ve got a real dilemma. If you used to smoke one pack a day, that’s 20 cigarettes, you are now feeling uncomfortable and anxious at least 20 times a day. But you can’t have a cigarettes to make you feel better!
But wait, there’s more. How about all of those other times during the day that you feel anxious or upset, when you couldn’t have had a cigarette anyway. You know, like when your boss is yelling at your about the report that’s overdue, or a nicotine craving hits in the middle of church service.
You used to at least be comfort yourself by the thought of having a smoke as soon as you got out of the office or the church. But now you can’t even take comfort from looking forward to your future smoking time!
That’s exactly where a good self hypnosis program to help you quit smoking comes in. You can think of it as a training program to help you learn to become a non-smoker again. After all, there was a time way back in your past when you didn’t smoke.
There was a time, at least when you were a child, when you didn’t smoke when you felt nervous. You might have sucked your thumb or chewed your nails. But you didn’t smoke. So you know you can successfully live without smoking.
A lot of people use the smoking cessation drugs, like the patch or nasal sprays, to help them get through the physical nicotine withdrawal. They are designed to wean you gradually off of nicotine. Over a period of several weeks, you get smaller and smaller amounts, until you finally don’t use them at all.
But many people also use hypnosis to help them get through the mental withdrawal of losing their smoking rituals. They combine hypnosis with the quit smoking drugs. They take advantage of all the help they can get.
Smoking cessation hypnosis programs can also help you develop healthy new habits to replace your old smoking rituals. So when you feel uncomfortable or restless during the day, you can use a healthy response to make yourself feel better, instead of smoking.
Over time, the healthy techniques that you learn during a quit smoking hypnosis program replace your old bad habits. And that’s the way people successfully stay off of cigars or cigarettes forever.

Demystifying the Powers of Hypnosis

Hypnosis is an enjoyable, easy and effective way to change our
bad habits into good ones and our negative feelings into
positive ones. All of our emotions, beliefs, and habits reside
in the subconscious mind and hypnosis provides direct access to
the subconscious mind to replace any negatives with powerful,
positive beliefs.
While many people think of it as “deep sleep”, hypnosis is a
comfortable and relaxed state that focuses attention and
concentration, bypasses the conscious mind filter, and allows
the subconscious mind to be open and receptive to positive
suggestions, tapping into the power of the body-mind connection.
Most people experience a heightened state of awareness when they
are hypnotized, while only about 10% will enter into a state
where their mind is so relaxed that they do not remember the
session.
People experience this natural, normal state at least twice each
day - before they go to sleep and when they wake up. If you have
experienced arriving somewhere and can’t remember actually
driving there, or if you have missed a freeway exit then you
have been in a natural hypnotic state often referred to as
“highway hypnosis”.
Natural hypnosis may also occur when you become so involved in
an activity, reading a book, or watching a movie that everything
else seems to be blocked out, even to the point of not hearing
people who talk to you. Whenever concentration is intense, it’s
easy to slip into a natural hypnotic state.
Hypnosis has been used for thousands of years as a powerful tool
to help and heal. Early records mark the Egyptian sleep temples
and the Temple of Aesculapius in Greece as sites where hypnosis
was used as an important part of the healing treatment.
The ancient Hawaiian Kahuna’s, healing masters, routinely used
hypnosis in their healing practices. A resurgence of the use of
hypnosis began in the 1700’s with the work of an Austrian
physician named Franz Anton Mesmer. In the 1800’s Dr. James
Braid brought hypnosis to the medical arena with his work in
hypnoanesthesia.
Hypnosis was used as an effective and rapid treatment for “shell
shock”, now referred to as post-traumatic stress disorders,
following World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.
The American Medical Association approved hypnosis as an
effective treatment in 1958 and recommended that training in
hypnosis be included in medical school curriculum. Hypnosis and
guided imagery continue to be integrated into modern medical and
health care systems.
The National Institute of Health recognizes hypnosis as a
Complimentary and Alternative Medicine treatment modality and
continues to fund research to validate the importance of
hypnosis.
Research results have shown dramatic results in a variety of
areas, particularly as an adjunct to conventional cancer
treatments and for pain management. Moving even more into the
traditional arenas of medical care, hypnosis remains as one of
the most powerful healing modalities by utilizing the power of
the subconscious mind in motivating the mind-body connection for
balance and health.
Hypnosis is probably best known for breaking habits with stop
smoking and weight loss success and yet it has been found to be
effective in reducing and managing stress, achieving deep
relaxation, increasing energy, overcoming fears, overcoming
insomnia, and reducing the experience of pain.
Hypnosis has also been shown to be effective in overcoming test
anxiety, improving test performance, improving sports
performance, improving motivation, setting and achieving goals,
improving memory and concentration, increasing self confidence,
and building self-esteem.
Most of us have habits or feelings that we’ve tried to change
and yet nothing we do seems to make a difference. We know how we
want to act and feel, but our decision-making and will power
doesn’t seem to be enough to have any lasting effect. Although
our conscious mind has made a decision to change, the beliefs
and ideas held in our subconscious mind won’t allow the change
to take place. Hypnosis allows the subconscious mind to move
into agreement with conscious desires and goals so you can live
a life of freedom and success!

Looking for a book on self-hypnosis that has a script for finding lost objects?
I can’t remember the title, just that I think it has or deals with techniques for rapid self-hypnosis. Ironically, it does have a script specifically for finding lost objects or items. Thanks in advance.

Which self hypnosis website is trustworthy?
I’ve recently tried a self hypnhypnosis mp3 a friend gave me and it actually amazed me at the results since I never really believed in it. Now I want to get some more but these days you can never be too sure of where you download things. Can someone please suggest a good, trustworthy site?
